The Downtown Inverness Office was the original facility and headquarters for The Bank of Inverness beginning on November 20, 1929, when the bank was relocated from Homosassa. After construction of a new building for The Bank of Inverness in 1976, the Downtown location continued to serve as a branch of The Bank of Inverness.
In February of 2008, this branch of The Bank of Inverness, a member of the Brannen Banks of Florida, Inc., was consolidated with the other offices in the holding company and renamed Brannen Bank.
